My Doula Services

I am an accredited birth and postnatal doula, and have been supporting families at this very special time in their lives since 2018.

I'm passionate about empowering families to make informed decisions for their own birthing / postnatal journeys and supporting them in their choices. Every journey is unique, so my support is tailored to each family and their own individual needs.

There is no one best way for everyone when it comes to pregnancy, birth and postnatal recovery. My approach is to ensure you understand what your options are and then wholeheartedly support you in your choices.

Doula Options

I support families across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and can provide support virtually if you are further afield.

  • As your birth doula, I get to know you during your pregnancy to understand your hopes and fear around birth. We have 2 × 2 hour antenatal session where we cover all things birth and postnatal preparation, tailored to you. I am then on call for your birth (or join you for your planned caesarean birth) and support you on the day. We then have a follow up birth debrief session once you are back at home.

  • As your postnatal doula, I support you in your home to adjust to life with your newborn baby. That can look different for everyone, and could be practical support around your home, being an unbiased, listening ear in these vulnerable times, holding baby whilst you sleep, shower or do anything that helps to make you feel better on the day.

  • As your night doula I arrive at your home at 10pm and have a short discussion about your day and answer any questions you may have. I then take care of baby during the night to allow you to get quality sleep. If you are breastfeeding, I can bring baby into you and take them for you to wind, change and settle them back to sleep once they have finished feeding. I then leave you at 6am in the morning, hopefully feeling very refreshed!

When I support you as your doula, you will also get access to the PregnaHub® app (worth up to £180) and you can also add on an optional Mindful Natal® hypnobirthing course to your sessions with me, supporting you to have the best birth experience for your situation and needs.

  • “I’m due in April and spontaneously decided to attend this birth prep & antenatal course hosted by The Mothership Antenatal. At first I was a little sceptical as I’m pretty good and thorough with my own research but I must say this was absolutely invaluable for me and my partner as a result! Siobhan who runs these classes is incredibly well informed and gives you a brilliant overview which left me feeling confident and prepared for this epic journey. The information flow on the topic ...”

The course empowered me with knowledge ahead of my planned abdominal birth and gave me practical tools which I used leading up to and on the day of my ...”
